Please spread the word that I didn't say it was the first complete bio - I wouldn't want to seem either ignorant or inconsiderate of the efforts that helped me so much.

J. Lee Elliott: I know many readers -- some of my best friends -- who don't enjoy reading Alcott. She wrote a lot more than most people think. You might like her pulp fiction... she wrote quickly and never revised so her work is uneven. I enjoy most her letters and journals.

Harriet ReisenAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12840283321430471506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8129057590571980039.post-43062594309448098652009-09-20T17:33:19.882-05:002009-09-20T17:33:19.882-05:00I wish I liked Louisa May Alcott... I always just figured that she was like Jo in Little Women (the only character in that book worth bothering about... and even then, Jo is still a bad stereotype), and left it at that, haha. I like reading biographies of people from long ago, though... :) It's interesting to see how ACTUAL people lived in those days as opposed to how they are constantly portrayed in their literature.Jaylee Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16817767019634270265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8129057590571980039.post-88418517056700056962009-09-14T23:12:33.921-05:002009-09-14T23:12:33.921-05:00I heard about your blog on Jemima's blog and I...I heard about your blog on Jemima's blog and I came over to investigate.
